'' Natalie and I attended a Course with Guy at Sterling's Wrought iron at the end of August and are still raving about our new experience .
After only a day of playing , guy has given us the confidence we need when working with metal .
We are in the process of making a Chandelier for the Michael House Art School.
The costs of the Course were dwarfed by the sheer number of creations we made on the day - candle sticks ,pot plant holders, gumboot racks ,cork screws and many more.
Welding and Bending metal is not nearly as hard as it looks! We are two very happy girls indeed!''

“The first blow on the anvil and I was hooked.” Guy covers an astonishing amount in one day, and provides a great deal of insight into the practice of a smithy in a wonderfully informal, and informative way. Well worth the cost''.

Quoted from Barry Downard.
''My grandson and I had an absolutely fantastic day. We learnt so much and had a few good laughs with Guy as well. Our various relations were most impressed with the finished items that we took home and we are encouraged to get the necessary equipment to continue doing some of this work ourselves. Guy has a good easy teaching manner and Neonita was a very caring hostess who organised everything, including a good cup of tea whenever necessary, brilliantly. As we said before the course, neither of us had done anything in this line before and yet before the day was out we felt very confident in what we were making.

The course was worth every penny and I would highly recommend it to anybody who feels they would like to be able to do arc welding and forge metalwork''

Quoted from Dave Canon
''This is just to thank you for the wonderful time we had while on the course. My nephew and I had a blast. We found it very informative and hope to one day become as skilled as you. Also had some good laughs while flinging hammers around your place We look forward to visiting you in the future attending the advanced course''.

Quoted from Imran Amla

''I absolutely loved doing the one-day welding course. It was huge fun and I learnt so much. Guy was right there to demonstrate, help and advise, but I was the one who actually did everything. I learned all the basics, from cutting, bending and hammering, twisting and curving, right up to doing complicated but incredibly strong welding joints. Half way through the day, I felt like I knew all the basics and I could then spend the rest of the day being creative.

I was highly impressed with the number and variety of things that I made in just a single day. And how much fun it was to make them all. I left with all my amazing creations and feeling excited, highly motivated and very accomplished! ''

Quoted from Sarah Pryke

"A quick note to say thank you to Guy and his team for a fantastic experience doing the one day course in basic wrought iron and metal work. I booked as a surprise for my husband's birthday and couldn't have asked for a more memorable day. Guy's passion and easy going nature made learning fun and we were amazed with each new item he guided us through making! As an added bonus, the custom table that I'd ordered was ready, further showcasing Guy's talent. Highly recommended all around!"
